Mega Motor Company (Private) Limited (MMC) is a joint venture between Mega Conglomerate (Private) Limited and Hub Power Holdings Limited. Established to accelerate the adoption of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in Pakistan, MMC positions itself at the forefront of the country’s NEV transition, shaping the future of mobility through sustainable, innovative, and globally aligned solutions.
In strategic partnership with BYD Auto Industry Company Limited, the world’s leading NEV manufacturer, MMC is committed to bringing globally proven technologies and high-quality electric vehicles to the Pakistani market. The company is not only enabling access to advanced NEV solutions but is also actively contributing to the development of a robust and future-ready mobility ecosystem in Pakistan.
As part of this long-term commitment, MMC is establishing a state-of-the-art NEV assembly plant near Gharo, backed by an investment of approximately USD 150 million. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of 25,000 units and marks a significant step towards localizing production and strengthening the domestic automotive value chain.
While MMC initially entered the market with imported CBU units, development of the local plant has been underway since early 2025. The project remains on track, with production expected to commence between Q3 and Q4 this year, further reinforcing MMC’s role as a catalyst in Pakistan’s transition towards cleaner mobility.
